TOWNS AND VILLAGES
The pretty village of Llangurig is only a quarter of a mile away with a shop, craft shop and tea room, and two pubs. The small market town of Llanidloes is also close by and the grand Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells is less than half an hour in the car.
WALKING AND CYCLING
The Wye Valley Walk starts from nearby Llangurig and meanders it way along the river and through woodlands, meadows and orchards. National Cycle route 8 also goes through the village - following the upper valley of the River Severn to the highest point on the route at 510 metres, before dropping down to Machynlleth.
NATURE AND WATER
The spectacular Elan Valley dams, with visitor centre and coffee shop, and Clywedog reservoir with it's breath-taking concrete dam and only a short drive away. Visit the Red Kite centre and see this rare bird of prey feeding, or the intriguing Devil's Bridge
SEA AND SAND
Just over haf an hours drive away is the popular Victorian seaside town of Aberystwyth. With all the usual seaside attractions this a great place to spend a day on the beach, shop, get a great view of town and sea from the cliff railway or indulge in some fish and chips and ice cream.
SPEED AND ADVENTURE
The area also has great motorsport . The Sweetlamb Motorsport complex with a whole range of high-adrenalin activities is close by, as well as Enduro and Motorcross.
